Anna R. Caspersen, RN, BSN
Anna joined the wellness efforts in Nebraska through Well Workplace Nebraska in February 2007 to follow her passion in health promotion.
She understands the importance of wellness programs and that having wellness be a part of a worksite’s culture can lead to healthier employees, increased morale, increased productivity, and decreased turnover.
We are facing a tremendous challenge in our country and state with more and more people falling into the overweight to obese categories for body mass index (BMI) and increases in health care problems, such as diabetes, heart disease, and high blood pressure to name a few.
This isn’t just affecting our workforce, but also is on the rise with children. In the last couple years, the surgeon general has released information that children today will be the first generation that will have a life expectancy less than that of their parents!
We’ve got to step up to the challenge and the perfect place to do that is in worksites!
Anna has worked in the field of nursing from the hospital setting as a labor and delivery nurse to community health as a nurse and supervisor at a local Health Department. Anna received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing in 1997 from Fort Hays State University, Kansas.
She lives on a farm outside Saint Libory, Nebraska with her husband Travis and two children, Kade and Kylie.
